We’re Moonblood Custom Fabrication
Moonblood is a family welding and metal fabrication company based in Lafayette, Colorado. We do everything from residential ornamental all the way up to structural steel and everything in between, including tech and innovative metal fabrication.
Founded in 2015, Moonblood Custom Fabrication is a small company with a big goal: to be the best fabrication and welding shop in the Denver area.
So…what’s the deal with the name?
“Moonblood” goes way back to Wade’s BMX riding days.
“Me and my cousin, we were on the same BMX team from the time I was 13 till I was roughly 21.
“Everybody started calling us Moonblood ‘cause we're blood relatives. That kind of stuck and you know, everybody we knew called us that for a long time.
“And when I started kind of doing this as a side business—my cousin's a graphic artist, so he's the one who did our logo. My one sister, Brianna, she does a lot of our social media. And then my other sister, Heather, is now our office manager. Plus both my grandpa and my dad were both welders. They both had their own businesses.”
“So it's all kind of a family.”
Meet the Team
Wade Moon
Owner and Fabricator
Wade Moon has been around the fabrication world since he was a kid. Growing up he watched his dad design, fabricate, weld, and build stock cars. His passion for welding grew as he got older, he took his experience from the oil and gas, mining, and TIG welding fields into building Moonblood Custom Fabrication.
Wade's passion in life is welding, and he loves being able to takes someone's dream and/or design and make it come to life. He’s fabricated furniture, metal art, custom handrails, custom fences, gates, custom projects, restaurant equipment, and much more.
Even after welding for over 12 years, he still enjoys meeting new challenges that arise with custom work. Wade believes there is no substitution for quality work and provides his best to every customer every day.
Wade was very easy to work with and prompt with his initial response to my inquiry, project estimate and the finished product. He was great about setting expectations and keeping me informed. I will definitely hire him for another pending project!
Leland
Lead Welder & Fabricator
Leland is a highly valuable asset to our team. He combines expert technical skills with strong leadership and communication abilities to oversee daily operations, monitoring and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Haley
Office Manager
Haley is the "backbone" to our team. She provides the essential and core operational support by managing and overseeing administrative functions, coordinating schedules, vendor and client communications, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining office policies and procedures.
